Our University and Bio-PRIDE Shared University
The CheongDae Times regular reporter Eun-vit Koh.
Our university is participating in the Bio-PRIDE Shared University Project, a system designed to nurture specialized professional talents in the major industries of Chungcheongbuk-do, and provides a variety of high-quality and diverse classes to students from 17 universities in the region. Bio-PRIDE Shared University has major fields of study, such as Pharmaceutical bio, Precision medical devices, and Cosmetics/natural products. Our university is participating in the Biopharmaceutical major through the Biopharmaceutical Medical Engineering major (Department of Biopharmaceutical) and the Department of Nursing. ▲ Logo of Chungbuk Bio-PRIDE Shared University / Source: Chungbuk PRIDE Shared University (biopride.or.kr) Our university, by participating in the Bio-PRIDE Shared University project, provides students with opportunities for academic development beyond their major courses. This helps students grow up to fit the talent desired by companies in Chungcheongbuk-do, facilitating their employment in the region. Additionally, we offer specialized courses related to their fields of study (such as GMP, manufacturing practices, etc.) to provide specific guidance for their career paths after graduation.
To understand what benefits students gain from the shared university program, we asked a few questions to students and graduates who participated in the Bio-PRIDE Shared University program. Here is an interview with Se-yeon Kim, a student from the Department of Biopharmaceutical. Q. When did you start participating in the Bio-PRIDE Shared University, and how did you know about it?
Q. What is your current major in the Bio-PRIDE Shared University, and have you received any support from our university related to your major?
Q. Do you think the classes in the Bio-PRIDE Shared University help you understand your major subjects at our university?
Next is an interview with Yoon-young Choi, a graduate of the Major of Biomedical Engineering.
Q. What classes did you take in the Bio-PRIDE Shared University?
Q. What advantages did you get from taking classes in the Bio-PRIDE Shared University? Did it also help after graduation?
Q. Which class taught by our university professors did you find the most interesting?
Q. What support did our university provide related to the Bio-PRIDE Shared University? Thus, our university provides students with educational opportunities to take advanced courses beyond their regular classes, as well as additional financial support to encourage continuous participation. However, on the other hand, the interest of our university's students in support programs such as the Bio-PRIDE Shared University program is low, leading to a decreasing number of students actually participating in these programs. Therefore, it seems sustained interest from students will be necessary. |
